Gardner City Councilors Edward Gravel and Nathan Boudreau, and School Committee member Melody Phelps, endorse Rick Green, candidate for Congress in the Third District of Massachusetts, citing his strong business background, his plans to fix regional infrastructure, and his commitment to putting the needs of his constituents first. Including Councilors Christine Johnson and James Johnson, a total of five Gardner officials have endorsed Rick Green.
Gravel, Boudreau, and Phelps said that Green, the co-founder of 1A Auto, has the right background and leadership skills to make Gardner a better place to live and do business. They praised his focus on developing infrastructure and creating jobs, as well as his absolute commitment to serving the interests of his constituents.
"Rick Green has the right experience to make a difference for Gardner. As a successful entrepreneur, he understands what it takes to create jobs and grow the economy. His plans to fix regional infrastructure will make our city a better place to do business. Too many politicians have no real-world experience and only know how to ‘play the game.’ Rick doesn’t play games – he gets work done. That’s the kind of leadership we need in Congress, and that’s why we are proud to endorse his candidacy."
"I am very grateful to Councilors Gravel and Boudreau, and to School Committee member Phelps, for their endorsement," said Green. "Real leadership makes a difference. As a businessman, I led my company to become one of the largest auto parts distribution businesses in America. Now, I want to do the same thing for Gardner and the Third District. I will never accept a lobbying job, a government pension, or a book deal. I will always put your interests above my own and work to deliver real results for you."
